J. Christian Hill​

I am a proud native New Yorker who grew up in the suburbs of the City, though I currently call Chicago home. As a kid I was always drawn to entertaining, and my passion for performing in a formal sense began at age six when I started to play piano and dance (tap and hip-hop). This continued to grow once I got to middle school and was able to join the drama club. For the majority of my childhood, I was unsure of what direction I wanted to take my life in, but this allowed me to explore other fields such as performing classical piano, reporting for journalism, learning languages and traveling, and completing research projects with economics professors from NYU Stern. Now I feel comfortable and confident pursuing my acting career. 

I was fortunate enough to attend Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) where I graduated at the top of my class in June 2021 with a major in Radio/Television/Film, a minor in theatre, and a minor in business. I was also fortunate to be the only film major in my class selected for a two-year acting training sequence under the guidance of Professor Henry Godínez, who has become an invaluable mentor. My work at Northwestern mainly centered around acting (for both the stage and screen) and learning how all of the moving parts culminate to properly create a powerful work of art. Additionally, I discovered a passion for participating in Latinx works in order to help bring a voice to cultural phenomena that are often underrepresented.
